Cyber Security Specialist

 

The role

 

At Kindred Group we are constantly evolving in our mission to fine tune our cyber security measures. We are therefore looking for a talented individual to join our friendly Group Security team in Stockholm and keep our cyber security at the forefront.

 

What you will do

 

  • Help to mature the web application security for Kindred's platforms, bringing your expertise to our team to change the way we work
  • Perform end-to-end application security reviews to protect critical information
  • Identify security vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans
  • Work with the team to perform/support penetration testing and the penetration test programme
  • Educate members of the security champion network and security liaisons on secure practices
  • Provide security architecture and design consultations to product teams
  • Assist the security operations team in identifying threats and develop appropriate remediation plans (including forensics and malware analysis/reverse engineering)
  • Architect, design, implement, support and evaluate security tools and services
  • Develop and interpret security policies and procedures

 

How will success be measured in this role

 

Regular performance reviews with your line manager
Acting in line with Kindred Group values
Successful completion of all relevant training and other compliance activities that support Kindred's sustainable and responsible growth

 

Your experience

 

  • At least 3 years' experience working in a security related domain (either directly in a security team or focusing on security in, for example, web application security, penetration testing)
  • Detailed, hands-on technical knowledge of at least two of: application security, system security, network security, authentication/authorization protocols.
  • Work with security vulnerability assessments and remediation techniques
  • Excellent communication skills and native English, both verbal and written
  • Strong people skills able to work independently and as part of the team
  • Able to engage well with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Working knowledge of basic scripting (e.g Python, Bash)

 

An advantage

 

  • Previous experience developing and delivering security software tools
  • Experience of penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment
  • Security experience in service-oriented architectures and web services
  • Proficiency in threat modelling and risk identification
  • Knowledge of cloud systems (AWS, Desirable: GCP, Azure)
  • Development experience (Java, JavaScript)
  • Relevant university degree
  • Certifications in: GNFA, GCFE, GPEN, GREM
  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) or Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe qualifications
