Data Engineer


About the role

As a Data Engineer in Kindred, you will be part of Data Engineering Team in Data Department, which today has 5 teams. Joining this team you will be working closely with Development teams, Architecture and Business. We love good projects and we all share the vision to be the most data driven organization in the world.

The team is responsible for bringing data from different internal and external sources, as well as data quality , transformation and preparation for business reporting.  You will be part of multinational team and you will work on new developments and improving our platform capabilities.


What responsibilities will you have? 

As a member of our Data Engineering team, you will be part of our multi international team and you will work with Agile methodologies with open communication, trust and compassion.

  • Help to build new data solutions supporting various data processing in our Data Warehouse
  • Build and develop PL/SQL ETL processing from different internal and external sources
  • Develop and optimize our Data Warehouse platform
  • Integrate Data Warehouse with Big Data platform
  • Ensure good quality of data is delivered for business use and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with our Development teams to ensure the development and usage of data warehouse architecture
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders in order to meet multiple needs for data consumers across the company
  • Work in an Agile way with open communication, while delivering top quality products and service
  • Strive to share knowledge and improve by learning from other members of the team
  • Bring your experience and ideas to innovative engineering, design and strategy

What skills are we looking for? 

We are looking for passion and drive:

  • Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development skills
  • You have professional experience as a Data Warehouse Developer
  • Proven understanding of data warehouse design and concepts (Kimball, Inmon)
  • Implementation of ETL processes and data structures
  • Handling of large volumes of data sets
  • Full understanding of the data requirements of engineering and business stakeholder
  • Creative and critical thinking, problem solving abilities


What do we consider as a plus?

  • Experience with HDFS and SQL on Hadoop ecosystem
  • Stream processing technologies such Spark or Kafka
  • Ability to use cloud Data Warehouse solutions
