Analytics Tech Specialist


As an Analytics Tech Specialist, you will work closely with our Analysis, Marketing, and Tech teams in developing and implementing digital tracking solutions to collect digital data in support of our web analytics and digital marketing initiatives. You will be expected to implement best in class solutions, ensuring data accuracy and site performance.

Success for this position is measured by the ability to demonstrate strategic thinking and implementation to meet the tagging requirements of the team, along with the organisational skills to keep track of all tag implementations. Success for this position will also be measured by the ability to catch errors in a timely manner by utilizing QA and monitoring methods and tools.

An ideal candidate will have a strong interest in data, analytics and digital marketing optimisation as well as previous JavaScript experience. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a self-starter mindset that thrives in a collaborative team environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Set up tracking within a Tag Management System using templates and custom JavaScript
  • Create, document and implement tagging strategy across platforms
  • Carry out QA and auditing to ensure alignment across partner agencies with client tagging policies
  • Monitor and manage page load performance impact of tracking
  • Identify opportunities and develop the processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally in daily execution
  • Working closely with the Analytics team to deliver insights

How will you be measured?

  • Ability to get tasks completed on time and taking responsibility for their work and the deliveries of their team
  • Ability to integrate well with team and working well within the team and across the teams and organisation
  • Quality control of the process will be measured against the production issues raised in this area

What have you done?

  • Experience working with tag management systems such as Adobe DTM, Ensighten, Tealium, Google Tag Manager
  • Have experience of optimising site performance in relation to ad tracking and analytics scripts
  • Experience of server side and client side analytics and ad tracking methods
  • Able to QA and debug tags using appropriate tools
  • Able to communicate complex technical problems clearly
  • Experience working with JavaScript and other web technology languages
  • Strong experience with Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
  • Record of implementing best practice tagging solution across all platforms: web, native apps and single page applications
