Information Security Specialist



The role


The Group Security team is embarking on a mission of rapid maturity and require a highly motivated and talented information security specialist to help guide us on this journey.

The Group Security team operates out of Stockholm and is responsible for securing Kindred Group and its information assets.

We are searching for that certain someone who is not satisfied in just knowing common standards and frameworks, but instead likes to understand information security risk and most importantly how to manage it. You will have a real personal passion for security across a broad range of domains and desire to develop further as an information security expert.


What you will do

  • Help to maintain and improve Kindred's Information Security Management System (ISMS)
  • Manage and drive information security related projects and services
  • Identify and document information security risk
  • Develop and implement security-related controls and policies
  • Provide advice and guidance to teams on matters related to security
  • Raise awareness of  information security risk and good practice


How will success be measured in this role

  • Regular performance reviews with your line manager
  • Acting in line with Kindred Group values
  • Successful completion of all relevant training and other compliance activities that support Kindred's sustainable and responsible growth


Your experience

  • Experience in one or more of the following security domains; access and identity management, asset management, human resource security, security governance, IT operational security, IT compliance & audits
  • Worked with ISO/IEC 27001, PCI/DSS, NIST, GDPR or other information security standards, regulations and best practices
  • Experience and a firm understanding of the development and implementation of information security policies, standards and related procedures
  • Experience at driving large scale security projects both technical and administrative across a broad range of areas


  • Relevant university degree
  • Experience in a similar sector working as or with auditors
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIA, CRISC, CGEIT
