Senior UX Researcher


The role


Over the past 20 years, Kindred has brought together 11 brands which, when combined, form one of the largest online gaming groups Worldwide. We operate in more than 14 markets and in turn, serve more than 26m customers. 


As part of a dynamic customer experience centred department the UX team play a crucial role in driving a customer-first approach. You will work with other UX specialists including Researchers, Architects, Designers and Content producers as well as developers, product managers and data engineers.


As a Senior UX Researcher, you will be conducting primary research, exploring customer behaviours through a wide variety of research methods and tools including interviews, usability tests and online remote platforms. You will test designs and concepts. You will strive to understand customer needs and motivations. Your work will touch all our brands and markets and bring the customer to life within the design process.

What you will do


  • Design hypotheses and lead studies that examine both user behaviour and attitudes.
  • Collaborate with other research teams to synthesis insights from data, CX, brand and marketing teams. Be a source of inspiration and innovation for shared customer engagement activities.
  • Conduct research using a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Communicate results and illustrate recommendations in compelling and creative ways.
  • Evangelise the processes and value of user testing and encourage hands on engagement from colleagues.
  • Coach other researchers, designers, copywriters and others to carry out their own research through consultation and training
  • Be a leader within the research team in terms of knowledge and experience.


About you


  • Bachelor or Master's in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Science, or equivalent preferred.
  • 6+ years' experience in applied customer-based product research.
  • Deep practical and theoretical knowledge of a broad set of qualitative and user-centred design methods.
  • Confident and persuasive oral and written communication skills working with both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be able to win others over with your engaging approach to inclusive research methods.
  • Ability to work with others in a consultative and collaborative capacity, including excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to forge strong working relationships
  • Although not required, it is an advantage if you can demonstrate experience working within agile design and development teams and/or fluency in a second language
