Social Media Team Lead - UK

 

The role

The Social Media Team Lead - UK is responsible for leading the UK social media team and managing all the social communities. We are looking for someone who can build strong online communities through our various social media platforms and lead the team in industry best practices and the creation of engaging and interactive content


What you will do

  • Lead the UK social media team being responsible for setting and monitoring objectives for SoMe Managers
  • Establish working relationship with Central SoMe team to improve efficiencies and ensure brand consistency
  • Community management of 32Red and Unibet's UK-facing SoMe channels
  • Providing regular reports on UK SoMe activity and using the data to constantly improve the SoMe strategy
  • Monitoring inbound interactions across all channels daily and appropriately responding or assigning to the relevant internal department (i.e. Customer Service)
  • Generating and publishing content across all channels in line with company content calendars, business priorities and marketing plans
  • Idea generation; copywriting, photo, video and story editing
  • Adopting the use of new channels (e.g Snapchat, TikTok), in line with changing user behavior, commercial goals and business intelligence/ insights
  • Responsible for developing ideas and updating the content and marketing calendar
  • Responsible for ensuring any content that UK SoMe team publishes on any channel or provide to third parties is on-brand and legally compliant
  • Working closely with the global social team to highlight upcoming content opportunities.
  • Working across our many sponsorships and with our key ambassadors to amplify wider marketing messages through social.
  • Main contact and co-ordinator for our local ambassadors and secure they all have a quarterly plan for their roles.
  • Working with external companies and influencers to increase brand awareness
  • Seek new opportunities and co-operation's with fan clubs and sports clubs
  • Keep up to date with industry and social media trends as applicable to your role

Your experience

  • Experience in reporting on SoMe activity and analyzing data to improve strategy
  • Demonstrable experience in driving traffic to web properties (Sportsbook, Social Content Hub etc.)
  • Excellent English, written and verbal skills with strong attention to detail
  • 360 knowledge of social media marketing; with demonstrated experience working with Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram
  • A good understanding of how the gaming industry works; with a specialisation in Sportsbook marketing 
  • A thorough working knowledge of betting, football and other core sports
  • An ability to think creatively and be pro-active with content ideation and new ways of working. Not afraid to challenge the status quo
  • Demonstrated experience working with agencies and talent
  • Demonstrated experience in creating content for social media that has delivered tangible results
  • Proven track record of managing and engaging with customers across social communities
  • An awareness of the role and importance of brand reputation in the new media age.
  • Experience in social media community management, online content trends and digital marketing techniques is required
