Software Engineer - Front-end Developer

Role Description


You will be joining a team of talented software engineers working on Frontend and Backend technologies that have a strong focus on customer centricity. You will be expected to drive the front-end work within the team by applying your knowledge and skills in both greenfield and ongoing projects in an Agile environment that will enable Kindred Group to provide delightful betting experiences to our valuable customers.

This role is perfect for an energetic JavaScript developer who like a challenge and learn new things and wants to gain more experience building web applications with React and Redux



Key accountabilities of this role are


  • Working closely with Product Owner, Agile Lead and team members to collaborate and influence new development
  • Developing and evolving the front-end integrating backend based on RESTful architecture.
  • Ensuring performance and quality of all deliveries across different platforms
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices within the organization



We're looking for someone with the following skills, knowledge and experience


  • Commercial experience as a Front End developer
  • Good experience with JavaScript
  • Knowledge of React and a controller framework (Redux, Flux...)
  • Knowledge of CSS is important and beneficial if you have experience with HTML5 and SASS
  • Experience with JavaScript testing, Good appreciation for TDD/BDD
  • Ensuring performance and quality of all deliveries across different platforms
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience integrating APIs, working with micro-services would be very beneficial, but knowledge of asynchronous JavaScript is key (promises and AJAX requests)
  • Experience in ES6/7 is a plus
